Thunder from the Land Down Under

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi! Today we speak with Australian National Champion and World Championship Racewalker Dane Bird-Smith. This was our first interview using Skype and Dane was such a pleasure to speak with that we talked for over an hour. Dane is a very engaging young man and has accomplished much at such a young age, having beaten the likes of Chen Ding the Olympic Champion, Jared Tallent, and Yusuke Suzuki the current world record holder in the 20km Race Walk. It is going to be a great show, thank you for tuning in, and a hearty thank you to Dane for taking the time to speak with us.

On the show today we have Molly Josephs who won the NAIA Collegiate Indoor National Racewalk Championship. Molly was the repeat champion and tells us about the race, how she started in racewalking, and her goals for the future.

Molly is a great example of an athlete coming through the pipeline from youth racewalker, high school champion, collegiate champion, and now on to the Senior ranks. We thank Molly for taking the time to be on the show and wish her well for her future events.
